Between seeing the lovely Miss Ann-Margret yesterday and this Bern clip…I am on top of the freakin world…come on world just try to rain on my parade…cause you freakin won’t, oh yeah did I mention that I saw three of Babs’ dresses/outfits yesterday? Cause I did…such a good day(s) Life is fantastic…
Okay I remembered more….She also talked about how she got the part, she said that the director saw here at a night club doing the twist, and that the show had just opened on Broadway, but that they talked and said that he was going to do the movie, and wanted to cast her and he did.
Another thing that she talked about was her small village in Sweden, and how when she came here with her parents they didn’t speak English, but went to Radio City, and saw a movie and she said that it was amazing to 13 years later be sitting there watching a movie that she was starring in.
Then she just simply said it was amazing to know that people were made happy by this movie and by the work that she has done and she teared up a little and took off her glasses and it was sweet.
Oh and there was also this moment when she was talking about a past date…and she goes….”dont worry Roger this was before you.” which was super cute to me.
She also kept saying that Bobby Rydell was feisty over and over again.
That is all of my epic tale dear friends…I wish all you fans could’ve been there with me…but at least now you know what happened.
Me and my uncle went up to LA to see Bye Bye Birdie
IT WAS EPIC
We went to the Grammy Museum and they had a freakin Barbra Streisand exhibit that was epic
We went to Hamburger Hamlet’s for dinner and the hostess there is Frances Davis who was married to Miles Davis. And is friends with Betty White…and was on Broadway and stuff and it was awesome.
Next we were driving and I looked over and saw a fimiliar looking dude…and my uncle also thought he was fimilar looking and he was all who is that…I looked again and it was BEN AFFLECK! He was freaking driving next to us it was epic.
So me and my uncle thought that we had so much time to get there, we had like an hour and it was 7 miles away….we got stuck in the worst traffic ever…I mean ever…we moved like a car length in 10 minutes…so we literally got there right when it was going to start and it took us forever to park we got turned away from two garages…then we finally parked and sprinted (I have a messed up foot btw)
So we were literally the two last people that they allowed in and right when we sat down the movie started, which btw was so amazing to watch in a room full of people who appreciated it
SKIP HERE ANN MARGRET FANS
So Ann-Margret walks up there with Bobby Rydell. She has on these sunglasses (like a BAMF). She first talked about the movie and how it took them like 3 months to film it, 3 weeks of it was spent on the I’ve got a lot of living to do number. Then she talked about how her and Bobby Rydell are still friends and how they talk evey week. Bobby Rydell was cracking jokes the whole time and at one point he was all “Women used to throw up bras and panties to me…and now they throw up depends.” Ann was then all “Bobby! We are at the academy of motion picture arts and sciences! Be nice!” The host (Stephen Farber) asked her about Elvis and in true diva fashion she was all “Stephen…I don’t ever talk about him.”…..Hmm what else…her voice is like butter….I freakin love her voice….it is fantastic especially in person….and seeing her on the big screen was epic….Oh another thing that Bobby Rydell said that was funny was that his manager tells him to smoke more so that he will sing better…Also Ann was talking about the beginning and opening Bye Bye Birdie songs and how George Sidney (director) had to pay for them because Columbia wouldn’t pay for them because they didn’t believe that it would be good in the movie, and after they saw the finished product they gave him his money back, which I thought was cool…
OMG I CAN’T BELIEVE I ALMOST FORGOT THIS…THEY STARTED SINGING TOGETHER YOU GUYS! OMG I ALMOST CRIED IT WAS SOOOOO SWEET…IT WAS SO SPECIAL. What else….hmmm she oh tomorrow is her birthday and we all got to sing Happy Birthday to her….yeah I got to sing Happy freakin birthday to Ann-Margret….
That’s pretty much it! If I remember more I shall tell you all! (Don’t you like my midnight tired rants though?)
I wish all you fellow Ann fans could’ve been there with me <3
