I hate Elvis the miniseries as it relates to the relationship between A-M and Elvis. It’s horrible. They basically stole shit from A-M’s book which is totally fine, expect for the fact that they have her making out with Elvis in public. Dude if you would’ve read her whole book you would’ve know that she would never do something like that. I don’t like the fact that they took true facts and padded it to make their relationship look rediculiously sexy. They made her basically look like a slut…which I thought was bullshit and I feel like Rose McGowan didn’t even try with this role, just cause you have the hair and sort of look like her doesn’t mean your her…she definitely didn’t try with the voice at all.
I was really excited to watch this to see if they would’ve shown their relationship in the way that A-M described it in the book as just really intense, not sexually intense, just intense, which is something that I understand, but apparently people that make miniseries don’t. They must have read her book to get some of this information and I think they totally took what she said in the complete wrong way.
Also wtf is it with her always calling him baby? wtf…I just I hate it.
I have loved you in other things…but your take on Ann-Margret is a horrible one. As is the take on Ann-Margret & Elvis’s relationship in this miniseries in my opinion. Some of the stuff that they stick to is true and it looked promising at first, but some of this stuff they must have just made up, cause there is no way anyone could’ve know that much about their relationship. The more I watch this the more I think she makes Ann-Margret look like a whore, which I don’t think she is at all, the thing I love about Ann-Margret is the fact that she can be rediculiously sexy without being a slut. Damn the more I keep watching this shit the more it pisses me off…half the shit that they put in here is just stuff that she wrote about in her book….
The very first film that got me interested in classic hollywood was Stage Door. My mom told me that she wanted to watch it with me and I went into it with an open mind (I use to hate watching black and white films…which I am ashamed of now). Anyways I watched it and I instantly fell in love, I mean how could you not? Ann Miller, Ginger Rogers, Katharine Hepburn, Lucille Ball, Eve Arden, the list goes on. Anyways since that day TCM has been my channel.
